FEATURED FRIDAY BUSINESS
Science East
The science show that comes to you: 150 exhibits, workshops and birthday parties, by booking.
Science East is a hands-on science outreach organisation with more than 150 exhibits that travel to libraries, markets and community events across New Brunswick. They run workshops, camps, school programs and birthday parties, all by booking. One thing to know before you load the kids in the car: the King Street address is an office, not a science centre, and it is not open for visits. Book them for the party or the classroom, or catch them at whatever event they have set up at next. (506) 457-2340, scienceeast.nb.ca.
ALSO WORTH KNOWING
Mud to Moose Trail Adventures
Craig runs guided ATV and side-by-side tours on the backcountry trails near Ripples, just outside Fredericton, including an evening Moose Safari. First time on an ATV is fine: every tour starts with a safety briefing, and helmets are included. Wildlife sightings are never guaranteed. The mud is. Book at mudtomoose.com or call (506) 247-2093.
Eva Christensen Art
Eva Christensen paints the Fredericton you know in watercolour and gouache: Queen Street, Saturday mornings at the Boyce Farmers Market, the back roads from Hanwell out to Keswick Ridge. Her originals are at The Artisan District, prints are in her Etsy shop, and she teaches classes at the Charlotte Street Arts Centre.
