Downtown Fredericton has been loud this week in the best way. Living Roots Music Festival wraps up Sunday and there is still plenty of weekend left to catch something good.

    Living Roots Music Festival

    Downtown Fredericton, various venues

    Living Roots wraps up this weekend with shows still happening across downtown. Sunday options include Mallory Chipman and Zack Ingles at Nomad Coffee at 1:00 pm, plus Asif and Ava Illyas at Nomad Coffee at 4:00 pm. The festival brings folk, roots, country, Americana, spoken word, and live art into venues across the city.

    Kings Landing Opening Day

    Kings Landing Historical Settlement, Prince William

    The 52nd season opens this weekend, 10 am to 5 pm. Walk through 19th-century New Brunswick with costumed interpreters, heritage buildings, craft demonstrations, animals, and hands-on history. Admission is reduced this summer while infrastructure work is underway, with the west side open in June and July and full site access returning in August.

    Fredericton Parks and Trails Day

    Fredericton trails and green spaces

    A city-wide celebration of Fredericton's trails, parks, and green spaces, 10 am to 2 pm. If you have been looking for a reason to get outside, this is it. Trails, community, fresh air, and a gentle reminder that Fredericton is secretly showing off all the time.

    Yoga at the Fredericton Botanic Garden

    10 Cameron Court, Fredericton Botanic Garden

    Flow yoga under the open sky in one of Fredericton's prettiest outdoor spaces, 6:00 to 7:00 pm. Kris Murphy leads a relaxing class for all levels. Runs weekly through October 22, with indoor backup if the weather misbehaves.

    Garrison Night Market Opening Night

    Carleton Street, Downtown Fredericton

    Summer Thursday nights are officially back, 4:30 to 9:00 pm. The Garrison Night Market kicks off its 2026 season with local artisans, food vendors, music, and downtown energy in the Historic Garrison District. Every Thursday through September 10.

  • Jun 11-14

    Freddy Beach Ribfest

    Capital Exhibit Centre, 361 Smythe Street

    The ribbers arrive Thursday. Four days of BBQ, live music, community, vendors, and summertime chaos in the best possible way. Bring napkins, bring friends, wear something sauce-compatible.
