The University Bookstore is UNB's official campus store, on the main floor of the Student Union Building at 21 Pacey Drive on the Fredericton campus. Its first job is course materials: textbooks in new, used, rental, and digital formats, plus lab supplies, nursing kits, and the rest of what courses require. Students can shop online by course code or student ID and have materials pulled for them, and the rental program is the money saver, cutting costs by close to half compared with buying new. Wednesdays and Fridays bring a 10 percent discount on textbooks and select items when paying with UCard cash. The second half of the store is UNB merchandise, and it is the place in the city for it: hoodies, t-shirts, jerseys, and outerwear in men's, women's, and kids' sizes, plus mugs, blankets, keychains, and other giftware in UNB red and black. That makes it a stop not just for students but for alumni, parents on move-in weekend, and anyone buying a gift for a UNB grad. The store also stocks school supplies, calculators, electronics, and dorm items. Hours are weekday only, 9 to 4, closed Saturday and Sunday, so plan campus visits accordingly; online orders ship domestically for a flat $7.50. If you are renting textbooks, note the return deadline when you check out, because return shipping on rentals is on you. Parking near the SUB is metered visitor parking, so a quick online order with pickup can be the easier route during term.
