On a given visit the floor might hold clothing and accessories, shoes, jewelry, small furniture, electronics, books, vinyl records, crystal and china, and home decor. It is curated more carefully than a typical charity shop, and regular shoppers treat it as an upscale second-hand stop rather than a rummage bin. Hours are Monday through Saturday, 10 am to 5 pm, closed Sundays. Donations are the engine of the place and are generally accepted Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays from 10 am to 4 pm. The boutique looks for quality clothing, crystal and china, small antiques, and new linens, and declines worn or stained garments, broken items, used undergarments, textbooks, and yard sale leftovers. One genuinely distinctive feature sets it apart from other thrift stores in the city: donated items are tracked individually when they sell, so donors receive a charitable tax receipt for the actual sale value once their total reaches $20. If you are downsizing or clearing an estate, this is one of the few places in Fredericton where a donation turns into both hospice funding and a tax receipt, and the volunteers can walk you through what they will take.
